A question to think about!

Using the force of a memory?

When I used to go to work by train, I would always have a book.  When reading, I would blur out all other noise by listening to music.  Even now, a few years later, while hearing a certain song, I remember a certain book or a part of it.

The funny thing is: I can also remember how I felt reading it.  Often it’s about how I wanted to read more and more, before my stop, or the excitement of the story.  It makes me want to take up that book again.

Do you have something that makes you remember a story?  Do you think a writer can anticipate this feeling, and is it possible to make use of it?
